Providence Teachers Union 30 October 2003, Thursday Laurel Hill School Visit Union President Smith will visit Laurel Hill Elementary at 11:15 a.m. Classrooms that Work Time: 3:30pm - 5:30pm Location: Union Office Thursdays--30 Hours w/ 2 CEU's This workshop presents proven practices from research on effective classroom and group management, effective use of learning time, questioning and feedback skills, homework assignments, and interactive direct instruction strategies. Participants will learn strategies to reduce and/or prevent the occurrence of disruptive or dangerous outbreaks. Early Reading Intervention Time: 3:30pm - 5:30pm Location: Union Office 30 hours w/ 2 CEU's Tuesdays and Thursdays This course is designed for teachers who work with students who are at risk for reading failure.
